Legacy in the Digital Age: Why I’m Telling This Story

17 July 2025

The people who knew Jackie Mason best — who saw him on Ed Sullivan, or laughed with him in theaters — are aging. And soon, his legacy, like many others, risks fading into the background of internet noise.

That’s why I’ve decided to share his story — and mine — online.

Not just to memorialize a great comedian, but to preserve the values of my family: perseverance, humility, curiosity, and kindness.

My father, uncle, and grandfather had a habit of greeting everyone they met with warmth, even those who seemed distant or unfriendly. It was their way of offering peace. In Judaism, this is called offering "shalom" first. It’s something I try to practice in business, in life, and now, here — in digital space.

Because legacy isn’t just what we leave behind.
It’s what we choose to carry forward.
